Maikunkele United will not be playing in the Nigeria National League (NNL) when the 2023/2024 season kicks off.
The Minna-based club did not explain why the decision was reached but said in a statement that it will participate in the Nationwide League (NLO) instead.
Chairman of the club Shuaibu Yakubu (Labosa) said in a statement that the decision was made in the best interest of the club.
“The club regrets to announce withdrawal from participating in the forthcoming Nigeria National League (NNL), Shuaibu said.
“The reason for the withdrawal is in the best interest of the club.”
