Inter Lagos FC

Nigeria Professional Football teams in Lagos and Ogun State have been bundled out of the FA Cup by lower division teams.

In Lagos, Sporting Lagos was beaten 2-0 by their neighbours Inter Lagos, a team formed last September while defending champions Ikorodu City whipped First Bank Football Club 3-0 to make it to the state final.

Inter Lagos would be looking to win their first title when they face title holders Ikorodu City FC in the battle for the heart of Lagos.

Lanre Vigo, Co-founder of Inter Lagos, could not hide his joy as he took to social media to express his satisfaction with the club following the landmark achievement.

Ikorodu City and Inter Lagos are atop the table in the NNL Conference B. They both play their league matches at the Johnson Arena formerly known as Onikan Stadium.

In Ogun State Beyond Limits FA dragged their seniors Remo Stars to a penalty shootout to book a spot in the final with Stormers Sports Club qualified ahead of Ijebu United.

Beyond Limits occupy the second spot behind Madiba in the Nigeria National League Conference A, and will be looking to get the better of rock-bottom Stormers FC.

The first leg meeting in the league between Beyond Limits and Stormers ended 5-0 in favour of Beyond Limits FA.

Both Lagos and Ogun State finals will be played on Sunday 31st March 2024.
