Inter Lagos secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the Federation Cup for the first time in their history.

The Lagos-based team defeated Ikorodu City, the reigning champions of the Lagos State FA Cup on penalties.

Ikorodu City took the lead in the 19th minute with a goal from Ayomide Cole, but Inter Lagos captain Tony Obia equalized in the 70th minute, continuing his impressive form as the second-highest goal scorer in the NNL group stage.

Inter Lagos Goalkeeper, Faith James played a crucial role in the game, making several key saves to ensure Inter Lagos’ victory and their place in the quarterfinals of the President Federation Cup 2024.
