Ijebu United FC has confirmed the appointment of Coach Festus Allen as their new Head Coach.
The Nigeria National League club said in a statement that Coach Allen will begin immediately and be with the team till the end of the season.
Coach Allen’s immediate target will be to get the club out of the bottom of the table where they currently sit in 10th position in the NNL Conference B with 16 points.
Allen will be assisted by immediate past interim Head Coach Michael Soniregun and Tijani Sheriff.
“I feel honoured and privileged to be saddled with the responsibility of leading one of the best traditional clubs in the country,” Allen said.
“The players are good enough and responding positively and we shall work hard enough to jointly take the club to the next higher levels.”
Allen has had stints with MFM FC of Lagos and Shooting Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
