Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Rangers International FC have announced the signing of Somtochukwu Nwobodo from Inter FC Enugu.
The teenage who last featured for Inter joins the league the Flying Antelopes alongside 21-year-old midfielder Gerando Tekena from Bayelsa United and 31-year-old Gombe United forward Anayor Ogbonna.
Nwobodo said the move is the leap he has been waiting for to move his career forward.
“This is a big opportunity that I have been waiting for, and I will do my best to convince the coaches to give me playing time in the star-studded team that is being put together to defend the league and excel on the continent. I thank my coaches and teammates at FC Inter for making me a better player to be spotted by a big side like Rangers,” he told the club’s media.
