In a heartwarming gesture, Leicester City and Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi paid a visit to his former youth club, Nath Boys FC, at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Ndidi, who rose to prominence as a central defender during his time at Nath Boys Academy from 2012 to 2015, led a training session with the young players, sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation.
Ndidi’s football journey began at Ekosodin Stars FC from 2002 to 2012 before joining Nath Boys Academy.
He later made a significant move to Genk in Belgium for €180,000 and subsequently joined Leicester City in England for £17 million.
Despite Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship two seasons ago, Ndidi remained with the team and played a crucial role in their promotion back to the Premier League this season, scoring six goals in 36 games.
The visit was a testament to Ndidi’s dedication to giving back to his roots and inspiring young talent.
