The inaugural edition of Dangiwa Unity Super Cup in the Daura Senatorial Zone has kicked off at the Umar Faruq Township Stadium in Daura.
Alh Sani Abu Dauda Daura the Chairman local organising committee says the football competition is organised to promote sports at the grassroots level.
The tournament features 32 football clubs from 12 local governments areas of the senatorial zone.
The knockout type competition is designed to take place in two centers to include Daura and Kankia township Stadiums.
Musa Haro Academy and Kongolam Professionals Mai’adua face off in the tournament’s opening ceremonial match.
During the encounter Musa Haro Football Academy came from behind to defeat Kongolam Professionals by 3 goals to 1.
The knock-out matches will continue in the two centers with eight teams to qualify to the next round of the competition.
