The Nigeria National league match day 20 matches earlier billed for today will now take place on Thursday 14th July, 2022 due to late arrival of match officials.
This was communicated to all clubs by the league body in an official statement issued this morning.
Reports making the round suggest that referees are being owed and some have decided not to honour games unless they are paid.
The Nigeria National League statement read: “We write to inform you that following an envisaged late arrival of match officials at the various venues, it has become imperative to shift today’s midweek matches to tomorrow 14th July 2022 by 9am.
“State football associations concerned should kindly ensure smooth hosting of the scheduled fixtures in line with the above directives.
“You are also required to ensure the provision of adequate and effective security before, during and after the match.”
