The Kwara U12 YEG League is a project of the Young Elite Group, an officially recognized non-profit organization with its headquarters in Ilorin.

The Kwara U12 YEG League’s inaugural season’s schedule has been released. 

On Saturday night in Ilorin, Kwara state, the draws made by the league board using a special computer league application were made public.

The league kicks off this weekend, on Saturday, July 23 as twelve grassroot academies from five Local Government Areas in Kwara State battle.

The 2022/2023 season’s opening game will be a mouthwatering match between LA Planet Sport Academia Preteens of Eyenkorin in Asa local government and Achievers Football Academy of Ilorin.  Balode Football Academy and Oloyede/Arsenal Kiddies will then play after the blast of the final whistle.

The penultimate game of the day sees Kwara Football Academy (KFA) take on Honey King FA.

To draw the curtain for the day, Solicitors FA and Young Talent FA of Ogbondoroko will lock horns.

On Sunday, July 24, Makamz Academy will host Koller FA, while the last encounter of matchday one will pit Future Stars FA against Musty FA.

The league’s goal is to teach young players the fundamentals of football development so they can progress more easily toward becoming professionals.

A total of 300 children from five local government districts in the state have signed up for the league, and 144 two-legged matches are scheduled to be played over the course of 24 weeks at the beautiful green grounds of the Kwara Football Academy.
