The champions of the U-15 NPFL/La Liga Football Tournament Remo Stars FC, the runners-up, Katsina United FC and the U-15 teams from the Football Associations of the Southwest States will excite spectators during the week-long soccer extravaganza.

U-15 NPFL/La Liga football tournament defending champions, Remo Stars and its runners up, Katsina United will participate in the inaugural edition of the Ogunjobi Memorial U-15 football tournament.

the aforementioned teams will be joined by six other teams from the South West Football Association.

The inaugural Ogunjobi Memorial U-15 Football Tournament gets under way in Osogbo this week, starting from August 16 through 21.

According to an official statement issued by the event’s co-chairmen, Otunba Dele Ajayi and Otunba Tade Azeez, eight teams will compete for the top gong while 180 children will battle each other for individual honors and the most valuable trophy.

The National Youth Service Corps’ Ede Orientation Camp is where the teams and officials will set up camp (NYSC).

The Honourable Minister for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Sunday Dare, and nine other individuals have been nominated by the tournament’s organizers for an Award of Excellence.

The Honourable Minister, Hon. Kunle Soname; the Chairman of KC Gamings Limited and President of Remo Stars FC, Ikenne Remo, Chief Adebutu Kessington, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Chief Segun Odegbami, His Excellency Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru,Mr Yemi Idowu, former member House of Representatives, Honourable Ayo Omidiran, Princess Bola Jegede and Dr Rafiu Ladipo are recipients for the awards, for their selfless service to the development of the beautiful game in the South West.
