The Nigeria National League Super 4 has been rescheduled for November 15, 2022, after being postponed twice owing to a massive flood in Bayelsa State.

An overwhelming flood mishap that ravaged the state had led the NNL to postpone the event earlier, billed to start on the 16th to the 22nd of October. Still, due to the flood, it was rescheduled for 25-29 October 2022 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, in Bayelsa State.

However, the NNL announced an indefinite suspension of the competition via its official Facebook page when the situation in the host state was intolerable for the movement toward the second rescheduled date.

But from the latest information from a reliable source in the management, the tournament will start on November 14.

According to the source, “we have concluded on November 14 and it will end on the 19th. The clubs would be informed about this soon, but to have things finalized on time and enable the teams involved enough space to prepare for the NPFL, that date is the best for us now.”

The four participating teams are Bendel Insurance of Benin, Bayelsa United, Doma United of Gombe, and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri. All four teams finished first in their respective groups during the regular season.
