Captain of the Nigerian U17 female football team, Alvine Dah-Zossu is optimistic that the Flamingos will have a better outing than that of the U-20s.

Alvine claimed that in preparation for the World Cup, which will take place in India later this year, the coaching staff had subjected them to a rigorous training regimen.

In an interview wirh Sports 247, the Osun Babes youngster stated that one of their priorities is to outperform the Falconets at the upcoming World Cup, despite the fact that their seniors had performed admirably at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

“Our training sessions have been really good because the technical crew have been doing well in giving us various training programs, as they are trying to prepare us for the world cup so we will do better in the world cup. Our seniors played very well. Their performance was very good. I like their energy, they played well. Then from the Flamingos, we will try as much as possible to do better than what they did”.

Coach Bankole Olowookere tutored lads defeated Egypt, DR Congo and Ethiopia in the World Cuo qualifying series. They scored 15 goals and never conceded any.
